Taqueria El Paisa in Albuquerque

I asked my friend for a local and authentic New Mexican restaurant, and they sent me here. The service was great. The food was amazing and a big menu to pick from. We went back a second time during our trip. Definitely worth the stop for authentic local cuisine.

It's a delicious place to have lunch or dinner. I recommend El paisa Taqueria to everyone! ENJOY...

Great taco joint. Great staff. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating. They have tortas, tacos, flour and corn gorditas, burritos, mariscos(seafood), quesadillas, and menudo, available only on weekends. They also have different aguas frescas. A must for a quick bite

The food was great first time there. The lady who took our order was so friendly to us. We will definitely be back again soon. I live far away from the location but its definitely worth the drive.

With the covid-19 this whole set up they have is no good. No plates or bowls for food.. They just put your tacos in foil. Then they put granish separately in foil. Then they put your salsa in little plastic bags and tie them so when you open them up they spill everywhere. Also we ordered 9 tacos and get 2 little bags of salsa, that's not enough plus having to buy more salsa. Honestly overall the whole service was awful and the employees are rude. If you don't speak Spanish they most likely will mess up your order and I guess I will not eat there and make my own they come out better anyways and don't have to deal with disrespectful employees. It's sad cause this was my favorite place to come eat but after today no thank you.

This place is amazing! The red chili is delicious. The tacos were just what we were looking for. There is a small salsa bar. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking behind the building. I read the eating area was a covered patio, however, it is an enclosed room and fine for a cool evening. A great place to take out of town friends for delicious Mexican food. Cash only!

We like eating where the locals eat and this was a nice local taqueria. The food was fresh and tasty. Not much atmosphere but who cares with good reasonably priced food. Definitely worth trying if you want authentic Mexican.

This place is so good and the employees are always so friendly helpful and make you feel like part of them. I love that they will speak English to you even if they have a heavy accent ❤️💯

This is a great taco shop it’s local, original, authentic, cool, clean and great service. It is the GO TO taco in Albuquerque, but it isn’t perfect. The tacos are pretty small and a little dry (even with sauce) but well priced and an overall great experience.

I came here because of the reviews, The food here was awful. I ended up buying a sandwich 🥪 the bread was hard and the steak didn’t have any flavor! Same for my friends food too. Also the restaurant was dirty as hell, table we’re not clean and leaking roof. Only reason why I’m giving this 2 star is because of the nice cashier.

Very vibrant and beautiful. They have arrows leading the way to deliciousness. There food was tasty, fresh and just enough. If in the mood for good tacos try the Asada, or Barbacoa, well anything on the menu should satisfy your belly. Really, enjoy!

As authentic Mexican as you'll find north of the border. Cheap, cash-only, full of local folks & families.

This is a great spot to get some good Mexican tacos. These aren't New Mexican or any other state type tacos. These are good, authentic Mexican tacos and food. Cash only, so be prepared beforehand, but you won't need much because the prices are good too. The asada tacos are my go to!

The TACO spot is placed in a clear area and parking is limited to about 10 max. There lemonade and banana drinks were really good, the tacos were really good as well and their meat selection was fresh as well, waiting time is around 10-15 min and you can call to order to pick up as well. The only complain is that their sauce selection was not that spicy and maybe that’s my personal preference but if you have a complaint about anything in their food they will own up to it and fix it at no charge. ( At this moment 6/13/20 they only accept CASH)
